Privacy Policy

StopLyte (“we,” “us”) is a private real estate matchmaking service operated from Nashville, Tennessee. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the promises we make about it. The short version: your information exists to make private matches happen, and for nothing else. We never sell it, and nothing about your home’s signal is ever shown publicly.

What we collect

Everyone: name, email address, and optionally a phone number. We use email to sign you in with a six-digit code, we never store passwords, and to send the notifications described below.

Homeowners who claim a home: your home’s address, the signal you choose (Not selling / Open to the right offer / Ready for the right buyer), an optional price you have in mind, your Do Not Disturb shield preference, and any spam solicitations you choose to forward to us.

Buyers who post a signal: what you are looking for (areas, budget range, beds, baths, property type, your description in your own words), your readiness, and, if you are an agent posting for a client, your brokerage and license information.

Automatically: basic usage and device information (pages visited, approximate location from IP, browser type) to keep the service working and secure.

How we use it

To match buyer signals with homes; to alert homeowners privately when a strong match arrives; to deliver introductions only after a homeowner chooses to respond; to send the emails you signed up for (match alerts, your demand report); to build aggregate, anonymous statistics (for example, “23 active buyer signals in the Green Hills area”) that never identify a person or a home; and to keep the service secure.

What others can and cannot see

Your home’s signal is never public, not on the map, not in search, not anywhere. A homeowner’s address, name, and contact details are never shown to buyers. A buyer’s name, email, and contact details are never shown to homeowners; homeowners see only the buyer’s criteria, budget range, readiness, and description. Contact information is exchanged only when both people explicitly agree inside a conversation. The one thing you can choose to make public is the Do Not Disturb shield on your home’s map pin. It is off by default, displays only if you turn it on, and reveals nothing about your signal.

What we never do

We never sell your information. We never share your information with agents, investors, or marketers. We never display your signal, your price, or our estimate of your home to anyone but you. We never contact the owner of an unclaimed home more than once per paid inquiry, and never again for twelve months after a “not selling” answer.

Service providers and legal requirements

We use vendors to run the service (hosting, email delivery, analytics). They process data only on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Your controls

You can edit your information, change or remove your signal, take down your shield, unclaim a home, or pause or delete your account at any time from your Profile page. Deactivating pauses everything and restores it when you sign back in. Deleting permanently erases your profile, claims, signals, and conversations within 30 days. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link and frequency controls.

Other things

StopLyte is not directed to anyone under 18. We retain information only as long as your account exists or as the law requires. If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect. Questions: barrett@stoplyte.com.
